You can make your own plegos using the LDD instructions and the printable pieces on this site. LDD instructions for each individual piece are at
Catalog5.aspx. Instructions on how to print the pieces you want are at
PrintAndPlay.aspx.

Cut the four holes out in the center of the printed playing piece. Align the four holes with the four knobs on the piece base and push the printed piece onto the base. Then place the plego figure on top. Here, the lego knob can be seen poking through the top of the printed piece. Optionally, the playing piece could be printed to sticker paper and adhered to the top of the plego.

Even if all of the LEGO pieces required to make the plego aren't available, use your imagination and build a modified version. We built the Cracken using mostly gray bricks instead of the original colors: Medium Azur, Dark Azur, Earth Blue, Sand blue and Light Royal Blue. We also had to modify his face and arms since we didn't have the right pieces in any color. We still have fun playing with the miscolored action figures!

We had enough flames to make all of the fire lands with slight modification to the design due to limited finishing tiles. Notice the use of four white 1x1 rounds on the back of each for hit points.

If you don't have the right bricks to make the piece bases, just building the figures and placing them on the printed playing pieces gives the game a lot of character. Here, a modified "Spark" sits atop his respective printed playing piece.
